Description

Ribes sanguineum ‘King Edward VII’ is an ornamental flowering currant valued for its spring display. From April to May, it produces pendulous clusters of pink-red flowers that attract pollinators to the garden. The shrub also features aromatic, lobed green leaves and then small blue-black berries that are enjoyed by birds.

An upright flowering currant bush, Ribes ‘King Edward VII’ grows to around 1 metre in height and 1-1.5 metres spread. It thrives in full sun to part shade in moist, well-draining soil. An excellent wildlife-friendly choice for gardens of all sizes.

From April to May, it produces pendulous clusters of pink-red flowers that attract pollinators to the garden.
