Description

Pleached Malus 'Evereste' Crab Apple creates stunning, feature-packed architectural screening. Atop a clear stem, the screening branches are covered in beautiful white blossom in spring. Decorative crab apples, flushed with yellow, orange and red, persist into winter and can be used for culinary purposes or left to provide seasonal interest and wildlife value. Highly attractive to pollinators, it is widely used as a reliable pollinator in commercial orchards and holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

This pollution-tolerant pleached tree thrives in most soils and urban conditions, including chalk. It has large crab apples ideal for culinary use, so is sold with zero VAT.

Our Pleached Ornamental Crab Apple screening trees are expertly trained over a number of years to create distinctive architectural screening trees. Container-grown specimens are available year-round, while rootballed trees can be supplied during the dormant season. To discuss your requirements, please contact our Sales team on 01943 660870.

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. The bamboo frame on pleached trees should only be cut off when the tree is mature enough.
