Pleached Ornamental Plum Tree
Pleached Prunus cerasifera 'Nigra'

Description
An unusual and highly ornamental choice of pleached tree, Prunus cerasifera 'Nigra' boasts a mass of single pink flowers from late February to April. The rich, deep purple foliage looks especially dramatic when trained into this architectural pleached form. In autumn, the leaves turn vibrant shades of red and orange, delivering a final flourish of seasonal interest.
Pleached Ornamental Plum trees are ideal for screening, dividing garden spaces, or creating a bold focal feature, with their distinctive purple leaves on horizontal branches above clear stems. 'Nigra' prefers well-drained soil but is tolerant of most soil types and performs well in urban environments affected by pollution.
Our pleached Ornamental Plum trees are expertly trained over a number of years to create distinctive architectural screening trees. Container-grown specimens are available year-round, while rootballed trees can be supplied during the dormant season. To discuss your requirements, please contact our Sales team on 01943 660870.
