Description

Morus 'Mojo Berry' is a compact, naturally dwarf mulberry variety offering both visual appeal and delicious fruit throughout the growing season.  Its light green, heart-shaped leaves give it ornamental appeal, complementing the fluffy green catkin-like flowers that bloom from spring to early summer. By late summer, it produces an abundance of mulberries that change colour as they ripen, from green to pink, red, and finally black.

Also called Morus Matsunaga, 'Mojo Berry' received the acclaimed RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year in 2017. It has a bushy growth habit, reaching an approximate mature height and spread of around 2.5m. Perfect for sunny spots, this dwarf mulberry thrives in well-draining soils.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
