In small gardens, it's important for trees to pull their weight by providing plenty of interest. You may think you have to decide between deciduous trees with seasonal interest and evergreen trees that offer year round colour. Luckily, that's not true and here we tell you about some of our favourite feature-packed small evergreen trees:
Ceanothus 'Trewithen Blue' - If you've not come across it already, you may be surprised that there is an evergreen tree with profuse blue flowers.
Arbutus unedo - Evergreen leaves, urn-shaped flowers and unusual ornamental fruits are all crammed in during the course of the year.
Cotoneaster 'Hybridus Pendulus' - Popular with wildlife, this small weeping tree features evergreen foliage, white flowers and bright red berries.
Picea glauca J W Daisy's White - Dwarf conifer with green needles that are supplemented by creamy white spring growth.
Pinus parviflora 'Tempelhof' - A small pine tree with elegant, steel blue needles and long lasting cones.
