Description

Pyracantha 'Saphyr Orange' is an award-winning, compact evergreen shrub, admired for its masses of bright orange berries that emerge in autumn. These are preceded by clusters of pretty white flowers in late spring. A versatile shrub that is often used for hedging and screening purposes, but can also be trained against a wall or fence or planted as a standalone specimen.

Pyracantha 'Saphyr Orange' has an approx. height and spread of 2.5 x 2 metres. It is happily planted in most positions and will tolerate some drought once established. For the best results, plant in a moist, well-draining soil in full sun to partial shade.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
