Description

Pleached Prunus laurocerasus 'Novita' features glorious glossy, large evergreen leaves that provides excellent year-round screening. In spring, scented white flowers add seasonal interest, followed later by inedible dark fruits, making this an attractive choice throughout the year.

Commonly known as Pleached Cherry Laurel, it is ideal for creating both visual interest and privacy in traditional and contemporary gardens. It is a particularly versatile and reliable evergreen, well suited to most soil types except chalky soils. 'Novita' performs best in full sun or partial shade, while also tolerating shadier positions.

Our pleached Cherry Laurel trees are grown by industry-leading specialists and expertly trained over a number of years to create beautiful screening trees, often referred to as “hedging in the sky” or “stilt hedging”. Supplied containerised, our pleached trees aare available all year round, unlike rootball form. To discuss your requirements, please contact our Sales team on 01943 660870.

Planting Steps

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
