Description

Pyracantha 'Saphyr Jaune' is a superb evergreen shrub with spiny branches, initially forming an upright shape and later spreading. Clusters of white flowers emerge in late spring followed by masses of sunny yellow berries in autumn and winter, adding some much-needed colour to the garden at what can otherwise be a grey time of year.

Evergreen leaves are dense and provide year-round interest, making Pyracantha 'Saphyr Jaune' an ideal hedge or screen. It can also be trained against a wall or fence or grown as a standalone specimen. This shrub prefers a full sun to partial shade position and has an approx. height and spread of 3 x 4 metres.

AKA Firethorn Saphyr Yellow, Pyracantha Saphyr Jaune ('Cadaune')

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
