Climbing Hydrangea

Description
Hydrangea petiolaris is an award-winning climbing hydrangea and an excellent choice for covering walls, fences and partially shady areas. It produces masses of large and fluffy white flowers in summer. Lush green leaves turn an attractive shade of yellow in the autumn, adding further seasonal interest.
Easy to grow and low-maintenance, Hydrangea petiolaris is a versatile climbing plant that tolerates full sun to partial shade, making it ideal for a range of garden walls and positions. It prefers a moist, well-draining soil and can tolerate clay soils. Although slow to establish, this flowering climber can eventually reach around 12 x 8 metres (height x spread) after 20 years and can be kept smaller with regular pruning.
Also known as: Hydrangea anomala subsp. petiolaris
