Mature Birch trees are perfect for creating a focal point with their beautiful bark and airy foliage. Our semi mature and mature Birch trees have been grown by skilled horticulturalists and are available in a range of sizes up to 6 metres in height. The feature bark had had a chance to develop on these more established trees and comes in a range of colours from white through to red.
These semi mature and mature Birch trees are ideal for planting in any reasonably sized garden or landscaped area and we have a good range to choose from to cater for every planting scheme. Because the bark is such a fine feature, we offer a number of varieties in both mature single stem and true multi stem forms in pots up to around 60 litres.
Birch trees are a particularly hardy species and grow well in most soil types, though ideally they do prefer one that is well drained yet relatively moist, due to them being shallow rooted. To give them the best start in their new home, we recommend applying rootgrow, using good quality compost and using a large stake to secure the roots if it is a single stem form. Like other trees, a good watering regime is also important to ensure they establish.
