Description

Malus baccata is a magnificent, hardy Siberian Crab Apple tree that grows to a height of around 10 metres in 20 years. In mid to late spring, it becomes a majestic sight, adorned with abundant, fragrant white flowers. Through summer, its dark green foliage provides a lush backdrop for developing crab apples, which ripen into small, glossy red or yellow fruits on long stalks. These can persist well into winter, offering striking visual interest and supporting a variety of wildlife.

Malus baccata is tough and adaptable, tolerating wind exposure and extremely harsh winters. It thriving in full sun to partial shade and will grow in most well-drained soils. A wonderful tree with changing seasonal interest and a grand, enduring presence.

In mid to late spring, it becomes a majestic sight, adorned with abundant, fragrant white flowers.
