Evergreen shrubs are practically essential for a garden, providing structure, texture and colour all year round. They can be particularly useful in borders, where they act as a canvas for more seasonal plants and provide colour in winter. Some of the evergreen shrubs have additional interest of their own including flowers, berries or scented foliage.

When planning the garden, dotting a few evergreen bushes throughout will help it look balanced in winter and no area will be left bare. Add further interest by using shrubs with a variety of foliage colours or textures. We offer several varieties with yellow or blue tinged foliage, including Eucalyptus gunnii and Choisya ternata 'Sundance'. For texture, Bamboos rustle pleasingly in the wind, whilst evergreen Magnolia typically have large glossy leaves.
