Description

Prunus laurocerasus 'Rotundifolia' , known as Cherry Laurel, is a superb evergreen hedge with large, glossy leaves. Cherry Laurel hedging is fast growing with a dense, bushy growth that is suited to screening. Racemes of small fragrant white flowers in mid-spring and dark-red ornamental fruits later in the year add interest.

A timeless choice, Prunus laurocerasus 'Rotundifolia' hedging lends itself to both traditional and modern garden styles. It can cope with a range of conditions, from full sun to partial shade and it is drought-resistant. It grows in loam, clay, sandy and chalky soils.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
