Weeping Japanese Maple trees are a particularly elegant and delicate species, which boats beautiful cascading branches awash with lacy leaves. They are renowned for their boldly-coloured foliage, particularly the vibrant shades of Crimson Queen and slightly darker hues of the Ever Red variety, as well as the bronze and orange tones of the Acer palmatum dissectum "Orangeola" but there are several other gorgeous varieties to choose from.
Sometimes referred to as "mound forming" rather than weeping, mature plants make a solid mushroom-shaped plant.
This selection of shrubs (or small trees) reach relatively low heights and have a non-vigorous growth habit, making them ideal for small gardens. They're also one of the most suitable weeping trees for growing in a pot and are great as patio plants.
