Description

Pittosporum 'Arundel Green' is a columnar evergreen shrub known for its lush, glossy foliage. It typically reaches an approximate height of up to 8 metres and a spread of 2.5 metres. The shrub features unique, wavy, bright green leaves that contrast beautifully with its dark stems, adding a distinctive appeal to any garden. From late spring to summer, it produces small, fragrant flowers that range in colour from purple to nearly black, with this cultivar being female.

This variety thrives in moist but well-drained soils and can grow well in both full sun and partial shade. Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Arundel Green' is versatile and well-suited for use in hedging, screening, or as a standalone specimen. Its dense foliage and striking form make it an excellent choice for mixed borders and garden beds, offering year-round structure and visual interest.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
