Description

The distinctive blue-grey leaves of Hebe 'Red Edge' are edged in red, which shows up particularly well in winter. The evergreen leaves are accompanied by mauve flowers arranged in spikes in summer.

Hebe 'Red Edge' forms a compact mound, looking particularly good in borders or as a feature in a pot. It will grow to 50cm in height and spread in 10 years. It is best planted in full sun to partial shade in soil with good drainage.

'Red Edge' has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit and is an excellent choice for adding interest to the garden.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
