Description

Cornus Kousa 'Mount Fuji' is stunning deciduous shrub which adds a touch of Japanese elegance to any garden. Its dark green, oval-shaped leaves create a striking contrast against the white flowers, softly blushed with light pink. Floriferous, hardy, and low maintenance, it makes an ideal choice for a reliable plant which puts on an impressive summer display. In the autumn, the shrub also displays beautiful red, yellow and gold tones as it prepares to shed its leaves.

Cornus Kousa 'Mount Fuji' thrives in full sun or partial shade in an exposed or sheltered environment. It prefers moist but well-drained acidic and neutral soils and has an ultimate height and spread in 20 years of approximately 4 meters.

Aftercare Advice

Trees and shrubs require a good watering regime for a couple of years whilst they establish. Water well and regularly through spring and summer, increasing in hot or dry weather. If planting in autumn, you may only need to water a little. It is advisable to keep the area free of competing weeds and grass during this period.
