Stakes, Ties etc

Stakes, tree ties, rabbit guards, and planting composts. All you need to get your new tree off to a good start.

Humax - Tree Planting Compost
60 litre bag of peat free planting compost, a mix of composted bark and sterilised green waste. Ideal for planting trees and soil improvement. One bag is enough for 2/3 trees.

Mycorrhizal fungi
Mycorrhizal fungi greatly increase the host plants chances of survival, particularly in poor soils. Add to the planting hole, in contact with the roots, to ensure your tree grows away well. Full instructions on the packet.

Rabbit guards
45cm, spiral tree guards, (clear). Keeps the rabbits off your trees. Also good against crazy strimmer operators!

Tree stakes (for trees below 3m)
Suitable for all but the larger, standard trees. 150cm x 3.5cm x 3.5cm treated timber.

Tree stakes (large trees)
For use with standard and rootballed trees. Instructions supplied. Contains 2 stakes, 1 crosspiece, strapping, spacer and nails.

Tree ties
45cm, buckle ties. For use with the 150cm tree stakes.

Treestart - Tree planting compost
80 litre bag of sterilized composted bark with added nutrients. Ideal for mixing with the soil when planting your new tree. One bag is enough for 3/4 trees.
