Hedging Plants

Choose from bare-rooted native hedge mixes that include hawthorn, blackthorn, hazel and dog rose, or the more formal beech or hornbeam hedging. Evergreen hedging available in pots includes holly, laurel, yew, box and leylandii in green or gold options.


ACER campestre

Field maple. Our only native maple. A medium sized tree that grows extensively in field boundary hedges but still makes a decent specimen tree. Yellow autumn colours.

Hedging Box. Small evergreen hedging plant. Very popular for edging paths.

CARPINUS betulus (Hornbeam)

Widely planted hedging plant. Resembles green beech but it is not prone to wooly aphid.
