Our Nursery

Established over 15 years, Ornamental Tree Nurseries is a family business run by 3 generations. The nursery boasts over 500 varieties of trees and shrubs, offered in a huge range of sizes that is rarely seen elsewhere and at a quality and price that are hard to match. Over 90% of the nursery stock is grown on the 30 acre site by highly trained horticulturists who have experience of over 30 years, ensuring product quality is second to none. As well as online and mail order services Ornamental Tree Nurseries retail centre is open to the public 6 days a week.

Our Location
The nursery is located in the Herefordshire countryside, 3 miles north-west of the market town of Leominster.

What we do here
Ornamental Tree Nurseries practice traditional budding and grafting techniques and have on occasion given talks and demonstrations on behalf of the Royal Horticultural Society. Traditional training techniques, many of which are now rarely used elsewhere are practised at Ornamental Tree Nurseries to create ready trained trees in forms such as espalier, step-over, fan, cordon, U cordon and L’arcure.

Shows and Awards
Over the last 4 years Ornamental Tree Nurseries has received 2 silver gilt, 1 silver and 3 gold awards at the spring and autumn Malvern Shows for the quality of their product displays. The nursery has also received ’Best Herefordshire Tradestand’ at the 2008 Spring Malvern Show and were highly commended at BBC Gardeners World Live 2009.
