This splendid medium sized tree is an ancient variety from Japan. On becoming extinct in Japan a single variety was found in a garden in Sussex which has allowed this marvelous tree to live on. Its huge clean, icy white single flowers that emerge from pink buds in April are its most outstanding feature as they are larger than most flowers of ornamental cherries at around 5cm across. Bronze leaves appear with the flowers giving an attractive foil and turn to mid-green before yellow and orange in the autumn. This outstanding tree with rounded habit will grow to 6 x 5 meters in 20 years on most except wet or shallow chalky soils. Pollution tolerant this tree is suited to urban planting. Beautiful when used in avenue plantings and equally as magnificent as a single specimen the Great White Cherry is probably one of the best white flowering cherry trees available and will light up any space with its pure white blossom.

Only items below 2.5 metres in height that are not deemed ‘heavy’ or to be of unusual shape can be ordered for delivery in KW, IV, AB, PH, PA, DD, KY, FK postcode areas of Scotland and are delivered by courier. Carriage will be charged at between £29.95 and £39.95 and is calculated at the checkout.

Sorry, we do not deliver to overseas

Please allow 28 days for delivery. This is an approximation of a realistic lead time, yet we will of course endeavour to deliver your order to you as soon as is possible and convenient to you. If items are required by a certain date please contact us to see if this can be arranged. You will be informed of the delivery date approximately one week prior to delivery.

Customers can collect their orders from the nursery. No carriage will be charged for collection of orders but we do ask for seven days notice. Ornamental Tree Nurseries reserves the right to delay despatch of orders if weather conditions are unsuitable for lifting, but we will contact you if this is the case. Ornamental Tree Nurseries can not be held responsible for delayed deliveries due to transport strikes and incidents, flood, drought, civil commotion or legislation.

Guarantee and returns

All plants are checked by highly trained staff at the nursery before dispatch and in the unlikely event that your plant(s) should fail in addition to your statutory rights, which are not affected, we offer a 12 month guarantee where a free replacement or refund will be provided (excluding delivery costs). This guarantee is only valid if the plant(s) have not been neglected in any way, this is to include (but is not exhaustive of) incorrect watering regimes, unsuitable planting positions, unsuitable soil types, incorrect pruning, incorrect planting, animal damage and rough handling.

Your rights under the distance selling regulation allow for you to return any item, in good condition to Ornamental Tree Nurseries within 7 working days of receipt of your order, for a full refund, all costs incurred in returning items are payable by the customer.
